GDN, the Global Doll Network, has just received the latest newsflash from
Care Dolls Couture (the CDC), an enterprising couture doll outfit in Waterloo that is making Southwest Ontario the fashion capital of the globe.

Apparently, the luxurious ladies of CDC have been selected to model their stylish couture cruise-wear designs at the International Cruise Wear Fashion Congress in Milan, Italy.

To avoid the uncouth and clownish antics of first-class airline travellers, the CDC models have opted to travel to the Congress in a more civilized manner, packing themselves into a suitcase like well-dressed sardines to sail aboard the luxury steamship HMS Queen Carrie Anne.

When queried as to why these delicate creatures have chosen to literally live out of a suitcase when each of them is unspeakably wealthy, a spokesperson for CDC, Dr. Sir Alfred Snodgrass (BA hons., MA, Phd, Dlitt, Dphil, MBA, MFA, and an honorary doctorate in HR) replied, “Why not pack yourself up in a suitcase? After all, every event of world history begins and ends with the packing and unpacking of suitcases. And the ladies of CDC intend to start a tasteful and very expensive historical revolution in cruise-wear couture design at the Congress”.

“But Darlings, if I could live in my suitcase, I most certainly would”,
quipped the glamorous Gerlonda, sporting an exceptionally rare albino mink fur hat and matching stole.
“Who would not wish to retreat into a suitcase to make their life more manageable?”

And so the marvellous mavens of CDC will embark from the port of Marseille in the French Riviera and steam N by NW, then NW by W, then N by NW again, to the Italian Riviera, disembarking in Milan, Italy, the fashion capital of the global doll couture sector.
